How long are the talks? What happens if I go over my time limit?
The talk is 12 minutes long followed by 3 minutes of questions. If you go over the time limit, you will be signaled to stop within 1 minute, and the judges will deduct points from your total score.
What are the presentation awards, and how many will you be giving?
There will be a total of 3 awards: 2 for best presentation, and one for best poster. Each award is $100 dollars. There is also a banner contest which has one award of $100.
What formats of presentations do you support?  Can I submit it in LaTeX format?
The presentation should be Microsoft Powerpoint (.ppt) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. Files submitted in LaTeX format will not be accepted.
I missed the abstract deadline, but would like to submit a presentation. How can I do this?
You will need to contact the committee for special approval. If presentation slots remain open or become available, your presentation may be approved.
I can't present in the morning (or afternoon). How can I make sure my talk is in the afternoon (or morning)?
The presentation schedule is arranged on a first come first served basis, so it is best for you to submit your abstract and indicate your preferences early.
Is there a registration fee?
No, the symposium is free.
I'm a Civil/Chemical/Biological Engineering student and would like to give a presentation. Can I do this?
We accept talks from other departments only if we still have open slots after the abstract deadline; however, you are welcome to submit a poster presentation.
What size should my poster be?
The maximum poster size is 3 feet by 4 feet. The poster should also be easily readable.
When should I set up my poster, and when will I present it?
You should set up your poster between 9:00 and 10:00 am. Posters will be presented during the lunch break, between 12:00 and 1:00 pm.
