The Shell Group has agreed to provide funding to support this year's Symposium, and will send a representative.

04.Oct.2005 :: Georgia Chapter of Air and Waste Management Association to Sponsor Symposium

The Georgia Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association has signed on to sponsor the 2005 EAS Graduate Student Symposium.

26.Sep.2005 :: Symposium Receives Sponsorship from Georgia Power

The 2005 EAS Graduate Student Symposium will receive financial support and sponsorship from Georgia Power.

19.Sep.2005 :: Call for Abstracts

The third EAS Graduate Student Symposium will be held on Nov. 11, 2005. The convening committee of this event is announcing a call for abstracts.

The time available for presentations is limited and each position will be filled in the order of abstracts received. Monetary prizes will be awarded to the best presentation and poster. The deadline for the abstract submission is OCTOBER 21st, 2005.

Please submit your presentation/poster titles and abstracts as a word file or pdf attachment to In the body of the email please specify your preference for a poster or oral presentation. If requesting an oral presentation, please specify the desired time (i.e. morning, early afternoon or late afternoon). Please do not forget to mention the name of the presenter and the name of the advising professor for the presenter.

16.Sep.2005 :: Clean Air Campaign Will Sponsor Awards, Abstract Booklet

The Clean Air Campaign will be sponsoring awards for the 2005 EAS Graduate Student Symposium, as well as providing financial support for the production of abstract booklets.

25.Aug.2005 :: Symposium Receives Support from EAS and the College of Sciences

As in the past, this year's symposium will have the financial and logistical support of the EAS chair, Dr. Judy Curry. In addition, Dr. Gary Schuster, Dean of the College of Sciences, has agreed to financially support the symposium with a contribution of $1000.

25.Aug.2005 :: Date set for 2005 Graduate Student Symposium

The third annual School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Graduate Student Symposium will take place on November 11th, 2005.

18.Aug.2005 :: New Organizing Committee Formed

A new organizing committee for the graduate student symposium was formed at the end of August. The committee for the last 2 years has been involved in the successful transition. If you have any questions or would like to help organize this year's symposium, contact any of the committee members.
