The School of Earth and Atmospheric Science's 9th Annual Graduate Student Symposium is scheduled to be held on October 18th, 2013. The symposium is an all-day event featuring research talks, posters, food, and prizes! Share your current and/or previous research by giving a talk or presenting a poster.

Mark your calendars and join us at the 2013 Symposium!

Abstract Submission: Please upload all abstracts at this address. Please indicate if you'd like to present a poster or give a talk. If you're interested in giving a talk, please also indicate whether you prefer the morning or afternoon sessions.

Abstract Selection Criteria: Priority for presentation preferences (oral/poster, time preference) will be granted based on the following criteria:

1. Submission Time: All requests for oral and poster presentations submitted by the primary deadline will be considered before any late submissions. Following the primary deadline, submissions will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. School affiliation: All requests for presentations made by registered EAS students will be considered before those submitted by students from outside departments ahead of the primary deadline (after which, school affiliation is no longer a selection criteria).

3. Seniority: We encourage all students to participate, especially those in need of fulfilling their degree requirements. After the primary deadline however, priority will be given to EAS undergraduates for poster presentations.

4. GSS Committee Interest: If the above selection criteria are insufficient to resolve the submitted presentation requests, the committee will hold an interest vote on the conflicting requests based solely on the contents of the submitted abstracts. If necessary, the chair will provide a tiebreaker vote.
